How We Use Information
We use your personal information for internal purposes only, such as to provide you with the Site and Services, create your account, identify you on the system, to improve the Site and Services, and to communicate with you about Carelify and the services we offer (which may include administrative emails and marketing emails).
We may create anonymous data records from personal information by excluding information (such as your name) that make the information personally identifiable to you. We reserve the right to use anonymous data for any purpose and disclose anonymous data to third parties in our sole discretion.
Certain Non-Identifying Information would be considered a part of your Personal Information if it were combined with other identifiers (for example, combining your zip code with your street address) in a way that enables you to be identified. But the same pieces of information are considered Non-Identifying Information when they are taken alone or combined only with other non-identifying information (for example, your viewing preferences). We may combine your Personal Information with Non-Identifying Information and aggregate it with information collected from other Carelify Users to attempt to provide you with a better experience, to improve the quality and value of the Carelify Services and to analyze and understand how our Site and Carelify Services are used. We may also use the combined information without aggregating it to serve you specifically, for instance to deliver a product to you according to your preferences or restrictions.
We contract with third-party service providers to host our servers and databases and to provide other services to us. We require our service providers to agree not to access or use any information or data they may have access to while providing services to Carelify other than to provide us services or as specified by us.
If you choose to use the Carelify Services to invite a third party to access a MyCare Profile created by you, we will ask you for such third party’s name and email address. We will automatically send the third party a one-time email inviting him or her to use the Carelify Services. We store this information for the sole purpose of sending this one-time email.
If Carelify is ever involved in a bankruptcy, merger, acquisition, reorganization or sale of assets, your information may be sold or transferred as part of that transaction. This policy will apply to your information as transferred to the new entity.
Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in this policy, we may preserve or disclose your information (including any communications on or through our system) in connection with any legal investigation or if we believe that it is reasonably necessary to comply with a law, regulation or legal request or to protect the safety, property, or rights of Carelify or others.
You can modify or delete your personal information, manage your preferences by editing your account information and/or following the instructions on the Site or Application. You are also able to delete your account on our Site. Removal of your Account will not remove myCares profiles if it’s linked with your Helpers.
Carelify is very concerned with safeguarding your sensitive and vital information. We employ reasonable physical, technological, and administrative security measures and attempt to ensure they are applicable under the circumstances. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, however. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. We can not be handle accountable for system failures or crashes that are beyond our mean to protect and prevent such occurrences.
We will make any legally required disclosures of any breach of the security, confidentiality, or integrity of your unencrypted electronically stored “personal data” (as defined in applicable state statutes on security breach notification) to you via email or conspicuous posting on this Site in the most expedient time possible and without unreasonable delay, insofar as consistent with (i) the legitimate needs of law enforcement or (ii) any measures necessary to determine the scope of the breach and restore the reasonable integrity of the data system.
